A mobile money vendor has shot and killed one of two robbery suspects who attempted to rob him of GHS140,000 cash.

According to the police, the incident occurred last Friday, July 3 at Lashibi when the vendor who was driving home from work, was accosted by two assailants on a motorbike.

They reportedly fired at the vendor’s vehicle and attempted to flee after snatching his bag of cash. He however fired at them killing one of them on the spot while the second assailant fled the scene.

An ID card retrieved from the deceased bore the name Innocent Elemuwa Akachukeu, aged 46.

The momo vendor did not sustain any injury and efforts are underway to arrest the fleeing accomplice.
