Players like Savita inspire me to give my best to ensure this league and the game we love grow stronger for generations to come.

Her performances, leadership and focus on Indian hockey’s future set a powerful example.

Proud of Savita & the Women’s Team for a historic campaign.

[Savita Punia @savitahockey]

Here's the catch: many of these very players — Shilpi, Sakshi, Rutuja and others — came through the Women's Hockey India League (HIL). Captain @SalimaTete7 herself said HIL "must" continue to broaden the talent pool. And right now, it's fighting for survival.
