They used an AI to build a Ballistic Missile in Yemen!!

They didn't just ask questions. They ran it like a dev shop: one Claude instance writing code, one doing research, one reviewing the first one's work.

Then they test-fired the rocket. It failed.

Within hours, they were back debugging the failure with the same tool that built it.

Anthropic's report doesn't say they succeeded. It says this is how close someone with no engineering team got. (Case GTG-87001, Anthropic report, pp. 112–113.)

UPDATE: The operation has produced three more arrests. These are cashiers at the Licensing Testing Station. Two of them are 63-year-old women and the other is a 53-year-old woman. Cash was found on these cashiers. One hid about R4500 in her lower undergarment. Another hid the R800 in her bosom.

They are charged with fraud, corruption and contravention of the Cyber Act for tampering with the eNatis system.
