You can fake a lot of things. Intent isn't one of them. People feel it. They may not be able to articulate it… But they know. They know when you’re trying to serve. ...and they know when you’re trying to take. That energy shows up in everything. How you lead. How you help. How you communicate. How you compete. How you execute. If your motive is to win at someone else’s expense… To manipulate… To use… To extract… People will know. If your intent is to solve problems… To create value… To build something bigger than yourself… To truly help and be your best for others... People will know. You can't build anything great alone. ...and your intent will either be the reason people trust you, respect you, and want to be around you... Or the reason why they keep you at a distance. Audit your true intentions. Make sure they're in the right place. Nothing you want to accomplish in life will be possible until you do.
