Hoodies on the golf course don’t look right especially at #TheOpen golfers should be dressed to suit the game. Usain Bolt wouldn’t wear thongs 🩴& Footballers shoulder pads⚽️ swimmers ball gowns 💃🏼Which sport would they suit? Warm ups only I’m sorry #golf they should look classy
Some will disagree - calling it “progress” - but I’m not sure why. Progress isn’t automatically a good thing. Nor are more athletic players necessarily more skilful.
Not about playability or strategy, it’s whether this is how golf should be showcased in one of its biggest events with non-golfers watching and thinking it's how golf uses resources. Some golfers watch and have unreasonable expectations for their home course. It's not sustainable
Irrigation lines in the rough and the arc of the rotors directed to throw water 50 feet further away from the playing surfaces. Opposite of what you'd see at a championship venue in Scotland where the rough is wild and rugged. 1/2
@PaulB1965@GreatGolfHoles 3rd at Narooma GC. Tiny green, any pin is a tough one, wind at the green is different off the tee, played everything from 52° to 3 iron, whales are a distraction too. Shame it comes so early in the round.
