Hey @shure there’s a YouTube channel phishing scam where someone poses as a Shure rep wanting to sponsor our content. They have built an elaborate website to do it. Then they ask for your YouTube channel credentials to verify your audience and they take over the channel.

@TeamYouTube I think I got the account back because the hackers weren’t fast enough to change the backup email address. I’m back in and fixed the stuff I noticed that they changed, but I’m probably missing something. Is there a checklist of things I should check? Can they get back in?

@AlmightyJCaesar @TeamYouTube We did, but the fake sponsorship site had us connecting to our YouTube channel to prove our audience and that’s how they got in. The phishing site was crazy advanced!
