Rosa Meissner was a professional model who worked with Edvard Munch in Warnemünde in 1907.

One of the interesting details in the photo is the blurred figure in the background, her sister Olga, who moved during the long exposure.
This “ghost-like” effect was something that also fascinated Munch.
