The central theological problem with the idea of “chosen people” is the tension it creates with the concept of divine justice.

If one believes in God, one must also believe that God is just. Justice, by definition, cannot be built on ethnicity, race, or color. A just God does not privilege one bloodline over another. The moral order cannot rest on biological hierarchy.

We are all God’s creation. If there is any meaningful sense of being “chosen,” it must be grounded in moral responsibility, not inherited identity.

Invoking God in contemporary political conflicts distorts both theology and governance. It turns faith into a tool of power and reduces spiritual belief to political justification. That is neither sound theology nor sound statecraft.

When a public official—such as Ambassador Mike Huckabee—represents a secular government founded on the separation of church and state, his duty is institutional neutrality. Personal theological convictions are private. Public decisions must remain constitutional.

If religious belief begins shaping diplomatic posture, the perception of bias becomes unavoidable. In matters of state, fairness must be demonstrable—not assumed.
