@RepTimBurchett has written to @FBIDirectorKash demanding that the FBI release the records of their “investigation” into the death of Seth Rich.

Rich, a 27 year old Democratic National Committee staffer, was murdered in Washington, D.C., in the early morning of July 10, 2016.

Around 4:19 a.m. on July 10, 2016, Rich was shot twice in the back in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of D.C., about a block from his home, after being out that night.

He was found conscious and speaking to responders but died about 1.5 hours later at a hospital.

His wallet, watch, and phone were still on him, and there were signs of a struggle (bruising on his hands and face).

The Metropolitan Police Department investigated it as a botched robbery attempt.

No suspects have been identified, and the case remains unsolved (a cold case).

Law enforcement, including the MPD and FBI (which was not primarily involved), found no evidence linking the murder to his DNC work or any political conspiracy.

Rich’s death occurred shortly before WikiLeaks released thousands of DNC emails in July 2016, fueling speculation that he was the source of the leak and was assassinated to silence him.

The FBI did not lead or open a formal investigation into Seth Rich’s murder itself—that was (and remains) a local Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) homicide case treated as a botched robbery.

However, the FBI did examine or have access to the contents of Rich’s laptop(s) as part of related inquiries or assistance.

Federal prosecutor Deborah Sines (who assisted with aspects of the case) reviewed the contents of Rich’s computer and cell phone.

She explicitly reported that she found no evidence of any connection to WikiLeaks, the DNC email leak, or downloading/disseminating DNC materials.

The problem with this?

Sines was a believer in “Russian interference” in the 2016 election, and was reported her beliefs in the collusion to Mueller.

On episode 87 of Going Rogue with Lara Logan, former Mesa County Clerk, Gold Star mother, and former political prisoner Tina Peters reflects on her time behind bars after being convicted in a case tied to her efforts to preserve election records following the 2020 election.

Peters says many of the women around her had been conditioned to live in fear, and she encouraged them to stand for the truth rather than be controlled by it.
