@ChessbaseIndia@tatasteelchess Pausing the clock, calling the arbiter and claiming a draw is no indication that Pragg was "completely shocked". That's the process accoring to FIDE rules.

Glad to see Knowledge Management Week is almost upon us (16th to 20th October 2023). On the one hand I'm almost overwhelmed by the efforts put in on behalf of knowledge management, on the other quite underwhelmed by the world's reaction. https://t.co/pyj30VvKcO
When I was an employee, if I was told by my colleagues/bosses they wanted something to happen "this year" it tended to imply "because there won't be so much money for it next year". I wonder how much has changed and if the same applies to wars.
Bullying by senior people in the workplace. Is it the result of fantasising for too long about power before getting to a position of power and having to make it work, responsibility and all?
Don't miss the lectures by the current winners of the famous Tony Kent #Strix award, on Thursday 23rd February 2023. For more information see my next tweets, and #CILIP's link here https://t.co/xgwqPuFmUj
Observed over the holidays: the difference between want not and don't want. HypEG: "I don't want another helping" v "I want not to have another helping". Shame the first is the way of expressing the second. Confusing.
What is happening? I'll tell you what's happening! People are resigning before investigations are actually happening. The best are deciding public life is not the place to be. And whose interest is that in? Ours? Or?
‘Consistency is overrated. More than one personality is better than no personality.’ Splendid advice on savvy #socialmedia communications from @ned_potter. Be approachable but credible. Let your hair down and grab opportunities for engaging levity

Often #brainstorming and #bulletpoints are hindrances to thought. The 1st because though it was designed as the start of a process it's often treated as the end, the 2nd because people think they're pithy but they show as sterile.
Yep, I guess you've got the spirit behind robust and resilient right, there. Probably why resilient sounds at first hearing more positive than robust. Thanks - another pair of words rescued from near cliched obscurity. The distinction looks useful ok. Good luck with it!
@dionl That one is easier. Resilience is different from robustness. Robust systems a designed to not fail. Resilient systems are designed to survive failure and even improve from it. Resilience requires the ability to spontaneously innovate in the face of challenge.
