When large corporations see a slow down in Saskatchewan they do NOT hesitate to lay off and/or leave completely. I’ve seen this many, many times. Small and medium size businesses that are owned locally will fight through the tough times to stay open because it’s their home.
Mark Carney on developing the oil sands: "We have to do this because the world's facing an energy crisis. Oil demand will continue to be significant for decades to come. So the question is, who will emerge as the world's trusted suppliers? It should be us. It must be Canada."
@TheDemocrats two things you need to do asap: call it “Trump’s Iran Trap” or “Trump’s Hormuz Quagmire”. Get better at branding ffs I thought you were the media. Also, and most obviously, coalesce, move to the middle and control your fringe. They will destroy you.
Uranium miner Cameco paid $2.1B for a 49% stake in nuclear plant builder Westinghouse in 2023.
That stake could now be worth $24.5B, as rising demand for nuclear power lifts Westinghouse ahead of a rumored $50B IPO.
Nuclear energy is making a real comeback.
@MarkJCarney your speech today beside @ZelenskyyUa pays tribute to my Ukrainian forebears in a deep and meaningful way. I am incredibly proud, more than ever, to be a Canadian. There is still good in this world. Canada, again, is standing up for what is right.

“We won’t do something that would benefit our community because we don’t have time”. Absolute bullshit. Saskatchewan is not supportive of local businesses. Also FYI, local non indigenous owned businesses employ indigenous people too.

Trump: "If we were playing hardball, all we'd do is say we're going to do no trading with Canada. If we did no trading with Canada would save $90 billion."
