Just merged my first open source PR at GSSoC 2026! "Updated todo list UI and Readme" in dhairyagothi/100_days_100_web_project β earned 141 pts. Join me! https://t.co/QoAJ9IraLg #GSSoC2026#OpenSource
React learning β Part 3 π
Covered click & non-click events, event object, state, useState(), closures in React, re-rendering, and using callback form in state updates.
Understanding how UI reacts to user actions much better now π»β¨
React learning β Part 2 π
Covered props, passing & rendering arrays, conditional rendering, dynamic styling, and installed React DevTools for debugging.
UI is starting to feel more dynamic and interactive π»β¨
Started learning React π
Covered basics: what React is, JSX, components, import/export, fragments, JSX with {}, structuring and styling components.
Excited to dive deeper into building dynamic UIs π»β¨
Wanderlust β Phase 3 (Part A) π
Refactored to MVC architecture, used router.route() for cleaner routing, added image uploads with Multer, integrated Cloudinary for cloud storage, and stored image URLs in MongoDB.
Project getting closer to production-ready π»β¨
Wanderlust β Phase 2 (Part E) π
Implemented authorization: added review ownership, displayed owner names, and ensured only the owner can delete their review.
Making the app more secure and closer to real-world systems π»β¨
Wanderlust β Phase 2 (Part C) π
Learned about state in web apps, implemented Express sessions, used connect-flash for messages, explored res.locals, and configured cookies in session options.
Understanding how user state works is making apps feel more real π»β¨
Day 5/30 JS Challenge π
Solved LeetCode 2626 (array reduce transformation). reduce() still confuses me, so I implemented the logic using a for loop instead.
Practicing step by step and getting better π»
Open to better approaches π
Wanderlust β Phase 2 (Part B) π
Learned Express Router for better code structure, worked with web cookies, used cookie-parser, and explored signed cookies for added security.
Backend is getting more modular and closer to real-world apps π»β¨
Day 3/30 JS Challenge π
Solved LeetCode 2704 β built an expect function returning toBe & notToBe.
Used closures + lexical scope to compare values and throw errors.
Great practice on nested objects inside functions π»
Wanderlust β Phase 2 (Part A) π
Built the review system: created Review model, added form, handled submission, validations (Joi), rendering & styling.
Also used Mongoose middleware, $pull for deleting reviews, and cascade delete for listings.
Project getting more real π»β¨
Day 2/30 JS Challenge π
Solved a problem using closures & lexical scope to return incrementing values (n, n+1, n+2). Used a counter approach (counter += 1).
Still exploring better approaches β open to feedback π
