BREAKING: Tinubu Approves β¦70,000 Monthly Transport Support for Public Workers for Six Months
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a monthly transport allowance of β¦70,000 for public service workers across all levels for six months, starting in November 2026, as part of efforts to ease the burden of rising living costs.
The approval followed a conciliation meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday between the Federal Government, led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, and the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). The meeting was convened amid renewed pressure from organised labour over workersβ welfare, the increasing cost of living and the implementation of outstanding agreements.
The Federal Government also approved the payment of outstanding peculiar allowance arrears, effective from May 1, 2026. The arrears will be paid in three equal monthly instalments, beginning in November.
In addition, the government and the NLC agreed to immediately constitute the Minimum Wage Negotiation Committee and commence meetings to determine the effective date for implementing a new national minimum wage.
The latest meeting follows an earlier conciliation session held on October 22, 2026, convened by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment to resolve disagreements between the government and organised labour.
You can regurgitate the word criminal a million times because that's who you are.
You want to feed someone who can help your generation, Ola.
Or because you live in Finland you think you are doing better than him?
Bingoπ
No, he blocked you because you sound dumb and incoherent, and not everyone has the time to engage with someone brain-dead like you.
Are you not ashamed of supporting someone who doesn't even understand what KPI is, or someone who couldn't explain what BVAS means on live TV?
Look at him below as governor of Anambra. π
Now I see why he blocked you. It takes profound stupidity to want a better Nigeria and still oppose NELFUND, a policy that, for once in my lifetime, is guaranteeing uninterrupted academic periods at our universities and giving the downtrodden a chance at a quality education.
You deserve the βChina to Chinaβ candidate you are supporting because both of you are brain-dead

Stop being stupid. The Obi you are supporting today increased school fees as far back as 2006 and even claimed that education isn't for the poor. But today, you are standing against a policy that will enable our universities to access funding, provide better remuneration, and deliver quality services.
Bro, some of us struggled to graduate from university because we couldn't afford tuition. Imagine what it will do to the psyche of less privileged students when they realize they don't have to struggle to pay their next tuition bill.
There is no way you will criticize that policy and not sound dumbπ
The Norway comparison is childish. Youβre comparing a country of 15 counties and 5.5 million people with a $2 trillion oil fund, high taxes, and strong institutions to a federation of 36 states, 774 local governments, and over 220 million people.
Lagos alone, over 20 million people with far fewer resourcesβalready runs free education for Lagosians in public primary and secondary schools, plus bursary awards for its indigenes in universities.
Cascade that across other states: many already run tuition-free or heavily subsidised state universities for indigenes, alongside their own bursaries and scholarships.
NELFUND is interest-free, pays fees directly to schools, and has already supported hundreds of thousands of students without needing connections. Thatβs a national-scale gain on top of what states are already doing, not βinhumane policy.β
You usually cite the US and UK (loan-based systems) or Malaysia. Switching to Norway only when convenient ignores the scale, the federal structure, and the actual delivery already happening in places like Lagos.

Nigeriaβs manufacturing sector added 81,174 jobs in 2025, more than double the 34,769 jobs created in 2024, marking a 133.47 percent year-on-year increase despite a sharp slowdown in the second half...

He has continued to ask you what your βownβ yardstick for educational improvement is, but all you keep doing is jumping from pillar to post.
You people want quality education, improved remuneration for lecturers, and modern-day educational facilities at universities, yet you want to continue paying what you paid 20 years ago.
A bunch of delusional people.
There is no way you will support Obi without sounding dumb, even as a professor.
Norway generates 880% of Nigeria's revenue with a population of 5.6m more, yet Nigeria barely generates $24b yearly, and this yeye prof still wants to compare the 2 countries.
Norway uses its oil wealth to support public services, including education. Young Norwegian students can attend public universities without tuition fees, while children benefit from free public primary and secondary education. Nigeria is also an oil-producing country, we should borrow a leaf from Norway and turn our oil wealth into better schools, affordable university education, and opportunities for young people.
Our natural resources should improve the lives of our people, not just enrich a few, stop defending the politicians who are impoverishing you with their inhumane policies.
