Zombie was written by Dolores O'Riordan inspired by the IRA attack in Warrington (England, 1993).
Released as the lead single from the album No Need to Argue (1994), it became The Cranberries' biggest hit: #1 in Australia, France, Belgium, Denmark and several other countries, #14 in the UK and #1 in the US alternative charts.
Just want to say I'm so proud of us. #Stargate fans are passionate, loyal & dedicated. If anything, this unfortunate experience has brought us together & shown me that if we have a will, we'll fight to try & make this happen. I love y'all! #SaveTheGate@BaronDestructo@martingero
'The Lucent: Fractured Mind' is HERE 🙏 🥳
Variant covers, sketch covers, trading card ashcan, prototype original art, MAGNET, stickers and night shirts! (OH MY!)
I know what I am doing this weekend.
The Lucent is one of my favorite series!
@tastyliveshow@CVecchioFX@JermalChandler The platform they created (obv with Tom & Scott) still works so I’ll use. As for tastylive, you diluted the “coke classic’ host & edutainment goodwill moat value to “new coke”. We cut you slack. Now we get tasteless HFCS. Good luck recovering from your Bud Lite, Jaguar moment.
@Tony_BATtista@tastyliveshow This is terrible! They don’t even have you on to say: “Good bye!” Can’t even imagine the tastylive show without you and all the banter in the morning! That was the best part! It truly felt like we’re one big family trading together an getting through the day!!
@IGcom@IGClientHelp
As a longtime tastylive viewer and active tastytrade trader, I’m very disappointed with today’s firings of Nick & Tony Battista, Liz, and Jenny.
The education is available anywhere. What made the platform special was the personalities, chemistry, and community they created. Firing them removes the heart of what kept us watching and loyal.
If this direction continues, I will close my tastytrade brokerage account and move my trading elsewhere. Many other longtime customers feel the same.
Please reconsider and bring back the talent that built the brand. This was a huge mistake.

Stargate Command has a message for you.
HAVE YOU SIGNED THE STARGATE REVIVAL PETITION?
No? Well then here's the link.
That's an order SGC personnel.

Well this is a hastily cobbled together shit-take of conjecture and misdirection.
The author starts by misreading a grassroots marketing launch as a statement of exclusive intent. Come on. Announcing a series TO a fandom alongside its community leaders is standard PR; it's not proof that the show was designed exclusively FOR fandom. In fact, it was made clear from the start that, first and foremost, the series would function as an accessible entry point for new viewers...while still respecting canon. And, by the way, “Respecting canon” does not mean “requiring new viewers to be familiar with 350+ hours of existing Stargate programming” as this article implies.
The author proceeds to support their point by launching into fan fiction: "No plot details were revealed about the scrapped show, but I can easily imagine…” And they certainly do. What follows is a parade of clichés, a generic legacy-sequel checklist that the author has conjured up from nothing and pinned to the new show as predictive evidence.
Then comes the claim that Starfleet: Academy failed because the showrunners: "focused too much on paying tribute to the series' past.” Uh, wut? Yes, Starfleet: Academy did receive a fair amount of criticism, but strict adherence to canon wasn't on the list of grievances. This reads like a comment from someone who likely never even watched the show, much less perused the fan response.
They state: "Rebooting the cannon also would let the new Stargate showrunner bring back the Goa'uld, the franchise's most iconic villains…” No, it wouldn’t. Know why? Because the goa’uld... ARE CANON!!!!
The article concludes with a disconnected meditation on an old Stargate storyline with no relation to either the new show or the author’s own argument.
I want to say it was written by A.I., but surely A.I. would display more logical consistency than this.
Polygon published a hit piece hours after Amazon canceled Stargate arguing the cancellation was correct, speculating about what the show would have been, despite having zero access to its scripts or pitch, and suggesting Amazon could "bring back the Goa'uld" by rebooting canon.
Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis showrunner Joseph Mallozzi responded:
"The Goa'uld... ARE CANON!!!! I want to say it was written by A.I., but surely A.I. would display more logical consistency than this."
Mallozzi on the show itself: "Martin Gero developed a new Stargate series over two years that offered a fresh jumping-on point for new viewers while deeply
respecting existing canon. My heart breaks for the long-suffering Stargate fandom who waited so long and came so close."
Why is the media attacking these creators?
Sadly, it's true. Amazon has elected not to move forward with the new Stargate series.
There's not much I can add beyond confirming what's happened. But I will say this...
Creator Martin Gero developed a new Stargate series over two years, ultimately crafting a show that offered a fresh jumping-on point for new viewers while deeply respecting existing canon. It was a series that avoided the pitfalls of several modern remakes and reboots by fully embracing the core of its predecessors: action, adventure, exploration, wonder, heart, humor, and found family. And based on that creative vision, the new Stargate series was greenlit in November of 2025.
As of today, officially, that original vision is no more. We'll never get the opportunity to introduce you to that world and those characters - or reintroduce you to, and check in with, some familiar faces from the past.
My heart breaks. For the incredibly talented writers who worked tirelessly to bring this show to life. For Martin who maintained an unwavering positive outlook throughout despite the challenges, and who always strove to make a show that would honor the fans while welcoming a new audiences. And for the long-suffering Stargate fandom who waited so long and came so close to getting a show they truly would have loved.
This was one of the best rides of my life. I felt locked in fight night. No fear just focused positive adrenaline.
Love to my team. 🥹
My heart is heavy, I wanted to throw, battle, win, but I kicked when I should have moved and was down and done. If I hadn’t tapped she would’ve broken my arm, as it had begun to crackle.
The disappointment of losing like that is very humbling.
@JonnyBones and @cainmma came up to my table after the fight. They set my mind straight.
Jon said, “You haven’t fought in 17 years? Do you know how big your balls have to be to get back in there after that long? Did you set some sort of record or something? Respect!” 🤣 That’s exactly what I needed to hear from the best to ever to do it.
I’ve been in a caloric deficit for a year, training felt like swimming as hard as I could upstream. I can count on two hands the number of times I felt good training. It was physically the hardest thing I’ve ever done taking the weight off while turning back into an athlete. I felt like a science experiment losing 100lbs. Every week the pressure of how to get that little bit off. I learned a little late how to do it healthier but trial by fire.
The California Athletic Commission is great and one of the strictest in the world. They weighed me a week and a half before the fight, extra tests and scans, multiple drug tests. We weighed in and they weighed us the night of the fight to make sure we complied with the rehydration rules, which I passed all easily.
I needed to go through this fight to implement permanent lifestyle changes and now I feel like this is just the beginning. I can’t wait to see where I can push my body to go next.
I’m so glad the world got to experience this version of @rondarousey I found a beautiful woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister and legend. I adore you lady.
We made history, again. I hope @MostVpromotions MMA @netflix continue on because they CRUSHED it. Respect where respect is due. @nakisa_bidarian@jakepaul
It was such a great experience.
Thank you ALL for showing your support. It’s because of you we get to face our fears and live our dreams.
With all my heart, thank you all. ♥️
