Any can just sample shit and loop it…Ye literally makes it his own and creates something totally different. This might be the best description of the process.
I even hesitate to call it sampling, he elevates every method he touches to such an advanced level that it becomes something else entirely. This is a different kind of high art, just incredible...
The very first album I ever owned was MC Hammer “Please Hammer Don’t Hurt Em” on a dubbed cassette. I was 5 years old. I begged my friend to steal it from his father for a day so that he can dub it for me lol
