Two days. Countless conversations. One shared commitment to inclusion.
The DBCC Conference brought together church leaders, policy makers, advocates, caregivers, professionals, and Persons With Disabilities to learn, challenge perspectives, share experiences, and explore what it takes to build truly inclusive communities.
As the conversations continue beyond these two days, we leave inspired by the voices, stories, and actions that remind us that everyone deserves to belong.

The room. The conversations. The people. ππ½
What makes this Conference special isn't just what's happening on stage, it's the individuals coming together with a shared belief that everyone deserves to belong.
Together, we're learning, listening, and reimagining what inclusion can look like in our churches, communities, and society.

βHuman potential does not disappear with disability. Too often, society simply fails to recognise it. We are not asking for favours. We are demanding fairness because disability does not diminish contribution, exclusion does.β
Thank you to everyone at @DisabilityBCCKE and @CITAMKE for the meaningful exchanges today. Grateful for the opportunity to share, listen and continue pushing for a more inclusive society. #VIP

What does an inclusive Church look like?
Today, faith leaders challenged us to rethink how our churches welcome, support, and empower Persons Living With Disabilities.
Inclusion is not about making exceptions, it is about ensuring that everyone has a place to belong, worship, serve, and grow.
As these important conversations continue, one thing is clear: a truly welcoming Church leaves no one behind.
If we can find answers for the sufferings of Jesus then whatever answers we find, suffices for Christians when we suffer and experience disabilities.
Joni Erickson Tada.
Such a refreshing conference.

"I asked God questions on why I was suffering. I was wrestling with God. It was during this time I found hope, his grace is sufficient for me.
It is my hope that this nation can be transformed in how we deal with Persons living With Disability.
We must always engage with people who are different from us - the poor, crippled, blind and those who are marginalised."
βFor so long, disability has been seen as a curse. But we are here to change that narrative, to restore dignity, create opportunities, and remind every person living with a disability that they matter, they belong, and they have purpose.β

βLife is like a tapestry. When you look at the back, the threads seem messy and without meaning. It is only when you turn it over that you see the beautiful work of the artist.β- Michael Panther Founder- @DisabilityBCCKE
"The conference is a chance for Kenya to create space for PWDs not just accommodate them" Betty Gatere, Founder Nimo Trust and Chairperson DBCC committee.
