Delighted to have been a Make A Difference judge for the third year running, astonishing local achievements across all three counties. Watch out for more amazing category winners. Thanks as always to the vision & efforts of @tobyfriedner and team.
Lutonians all know that our train station isn't fit for purpose and isn't accessible for disabled people, those with mobility issues or families with children in buggies.
We deserve better - I'll keep pressing for a station fit for the 21st century.
@rach_hopkins Its interesting to note that our enquiry trends have mirrored Gov legislation very quickly. With forthcoming furlough changes month on month, we expect a similar staircasing of employment questions and UC claims

Great conversation regarding all manner of disability related issues, from Access to Work to effectiveness of statutory services, debt to employee support & beyond. Lets keep the conversation going. @CitizensAdvice@johnpringdns@lutoncouncil Special thanks to Jake @CitAWokingham
Delighted to be joining various Citizens Advice offices around the country today as part of a 12hr disability & mental health conversation. Join me in the virtual studio from 1pm when we discuss disability and being a leader @johnpringdns@lutoncouncil https://t.co/BlOp9ewrhi
@ClaireJAstbury@rach_hopkins @lutoncllr True but planners need to be more courageous, ensure housing reflects local JSNA agenda (never happened in my experience) so health & social care can do their role in households, build on @PARKERMORRIS & @jrf_uk lifetime homes standards. Homes for heroes still applies but for all
DWP recommence recovery of benefit related debt / overpayments. Customers will be notified by letter / UC journals if & when deductions will be taken. Anyone experiencing 'real financial hardship' can request a repayment deferral via the DWP Debt Management line 0800 916 0647
Next week is my 20th year as a registered architect & charity CEO. I've met & continue to meet some inspiring people. Always celebrate who you are & what you can achieve. So far so interesting for a disabled kid who spent his first 5 yrs in care @SFCS_adoption@LLieutenantBeds
@kingqueen3065@johnpringdns As a disabled registered architect, this is embarrassing. Would non disabled ppl use it...nope, so its not inclusive design. Clearly cost driven only. Interestingly staircases cannot be overlong without a safety change in direction......this must win a lazy design award @Tanni_GT
Today is National Windrush Day, the impact of the shocking policy are still affecting multiple generation'stoday. @Luton_CAB is supporting local claimants to obtain appropriate reparations as generations continue to fight for justice @CitizensAdvice@lutoncouncil@jacquiburnett4
