Last week we hosted a workshop at the @NEUnion London International Solidarity Conference on Sudan and Congo. We worked with educators and community organisers to discuss the specific arms companies present in our schools and colleges which have a direct link in armed conflict
All of this highlights once again the interconnected nature of all these struggles. Educators and community members strategised together on how to bring anti-militarist campaigns to their workplaces and neighbourhoods.
We also caught @ZackPolanski to discuss our campaign and getting arms companies out of our schools. If you’re at the NEU conference, join us at 6pm today at the Lancing Suite, Holiday inn where we’ll be strategising how to grow the campaign in your workplaces!
We spoke at the @PSCupdates fringe at the @NEUnion conference on demilitarising education and translating solidarity with Palestine to action in the workplace!
We discussed how teachers fail to address "difficult" topics for fear of being accused of political bias or through a lack of knowledge around these complex issues.
Protesters SHUT DOWN the arms lobby group ADS’s annual arms-dealer dinner in London, where they celebrate with champagne their profits of murder, war crimes and genocide.
Join us this Saturday at the @PSCupdates trade union conference at the Rich Mix in London. Hear from Palestine voices and take part in practical workshops to challenge UK institutions in their role in sustaining apartheid and genocide.
Join Disarm Education, @NEU_NPYW , and the @PSCupdates for the launch of our Workplace Organising Guide — taking action to get arms companies out of our schools!

The 2nd half will be a practical workshop on how to take this campaign forward in your districts and workplaces. You’ll leave with a copy of our Organising Guide and the tools to the campaign in your workplace.
We joined the ‘how to push back against a militarised future’ workshop at @theworldtransformed earlier this month with organisers from CND, Netpol, 10% for all, and Stop ReArm Europe.
We discussed how the DE model can be replicated in other unions and the future of arms conversion. As the MOD plans to spend a further £288.6 billion on military equipment and services in the next decade, the tide is turning against militarism in our workplaces.
