Shelter in Place warnings remain in effect until further notice for the Westlake/Moss Bluff/Sulphur areas due to an ongoing chemical fire. Louisiana State Police are responding to the event have shut down areas of I-10 near the fire. #lawx
If you are nearby, close all doors and windows. Put wet rags around the seams of your doors and windows. Turn off your air conditioning. Stay inside to avoid damage to your eyes, lungs and skin. Stay put and inside until officially told it’s safe.

A large fire has broken out just off of Interstate 10 near Lake Charles, LA. There are some reports coming out that this is related to a chemical leak or a biohazard situation.

If you’re on the gulf coast, and for some unknown reason you’ve decided to stay, change your mind. Get out. If you can’t get out, take shelter as high up as you can and take provisions with you. You may be stuck there for a while.
