Steve Wilks is the scapegoat for the #49ers…

The Niners defense played very well in the Super Bowl. Held Patrick Mahomes and the #Chiefs to under 20 points heading into OT. It wasn’t the defense’s fault that a punt was muffed, that CMC fumbled, and that the Niners couldn’t score in crunch time to close out the game. That their offense was basically shut down for most of the game.

Kyle Shanahan failed to prepare his team properly when it came to the overtime rules too. The loss falls on his shoulders, but he can’t and won’t fire himself obviously.

Just feels like Wilks was the “fall guy” when San Fran’s defense played a clean game in the Super Bowl and all season long.
