Social anxiety isn’t “omg I hate everyone i wish I was watching Netflix in my room” it’s “I want desperately to be able to hang out with people but I hate the feeling of panic and fear I get around them so I don’t or can’t hang out with them, so I end up just staying home alone.
Social anxiety isn’t just “hating talking to people”. It’s being scared of making phone calls, making appointments. Walking on the sidewalk because you feel like everyone is judging you. You have this unexplainable fear of going out in public. That you can’t explain or understand
Anxiety Kills you. You can’t sleep. You can barely eat. You’re terrified to get out of bed in the morning. You can’t handle social situations. You’re scared to do anything because of the fear of making mistakes. No one knows how miserable you are on the inside, and it sucks.
What people think causes Depression:
• Weakness
• Laziness
What ACTUALLY causes Depression:
• Trauma
• Bullying
• Low self esteem
• Abuse
Depression is a very complicated illness. You can’t just “snap out of it”. Depression is way more than being just sad and lazy.

Mental illness can be invisible:
• You can have anxiety BUT still sound confident
• You can have depression BUT still smile and make jokes
• You can be suicidal BUT still go out in public and appear fine
Please always check on your loved ones. You never know who’s suffering.
Having anxiety and depression is like being scared and tired at the same time. It’s the fear of failure, but no urge to be productive. It’s wanting friends, but hate socializing. It’s wanting to be alone, but not to wanting to be lonely. It’s feeling everything at once.
