So often what we hear on this is that God is perfectly holy and cannot abide any sin. This is technically a true statement but we tend to think about it wrongly. We’re told He has to remove sin away far away from himself. Turn up after death with any of that sin and he’s

got to put you in his place called hell, far from his holiness. However this kind of thinking forgets that instead of removing sin far from himself God actually took it upon himself and then in doing so took it away completely.

Some argue over whether God’s love is unconditional or conditional. Strange debate really. Why does love need an adjective? Or perhaps I can put it this way: God’s love is both conditional and unconditional. But the unconditional love will win.

@GraceAloneSaved I've read the Bible too yes, for over half a century. And for far too many of those years read it wrongly too without stopping to ponder enough. Do you not want to answer my questions? Why do you prefer to believe in a punitive God? Did you stop to think?

It's about identifying more with what we are against rather than what we are for. Scapegoating creates communities. (other ways are available)
