EASPD, as @social_platform member, fully supports this call to ensure that the EU's next budget invests in social cohesion & equal opportunities.
To achieve this, ESF+ should remain a standalone fund with sufficient budget covering the full European Pillar of Social Rights.
As the new @EU_Commission starts to accelerate work on the next #MFF, the EU's long-term budget, now is the time for more investment in social and cohesion funds.

@MyEDF@COFACE_EU Our Policy and Project Officer, Lilith Alink: "For our members, this Guidance can help in the transition towards deinstitutionalisation and can be used as a tool when discussing with their respective managing authorities, particularly about designing and planning of EU funds."
Today we’re co-hosting a webinar on the European Commission’s first-ever Guidance on Independent Living. 🏡
This document is a crucial step forward in transitioning away from institutionalisation and allowing people with disabilities to live independently within the community.
@MyEDF Antonia Torrens, @COFACE_EU President, emphasised that the Guidance can be a huge support for families across Europe if taken up by public authorities, schools, workplaces and care services. A strong monitoring and evaluation framework are expected to be developed as a next step.
