I want to join a community that plays Yu-Gi-Oh at a high level. Watching worlds this year genuinely has made me motivated to try to perform well this year.
I know people like Trif set goals like go to worlds or win a YCS.
I want to top a YCS. Baby steps, but the goal is clear.
@ChaoticMeatball Don’t get me wrong, I do it too when I’m recording content because “we” implies the audience and I, but I’ve made the conscious effort to not say that when I’m playing any paper game because if it annoys me it def annoys others.
what is your most minor and inconsequential pet peeve that TCG Players do? Like something that shouldn’t bother you AT ALL but does?
Mine is an opponent that says “We” for every action they make. “We’ll play this card, then we’ll attack with this”, annoys me more than it should.
@KingScarletYGO Oh YES! I hate when they go "ok so you're gonna do that then this then summon that", and the worst part is that even if it's the correct play it makes not wanna do it just to show them they're wrong LOL
DUMPSTER DIVERS FINALE IS HERE!!

It makes me think of If your opponent controls a card, you can activate this card from your hand. When a card or effect is activated that includes an effect that Special Summons a monster(s): Negate that effect, then if you have a Trap in your GY, destroy that card.
@caro_irl@jen_tcg This banlist is like if every partner and sol ring was banned in Commander but then randomly made Swords to Plowshares a gamechanger.
@monory12345@zoe_sylveon The idea is that with proper shuffling your deck will be randomized regardless of its starting state (piled or not) so piling is wasting time.
here's a demonstration:

@Krojak_YGO@STOTTINMAD it does say in a timely manner, which I agree with, but that's one of the main gripes I have with a pile "shuffle". Everyone says "pile is fine if you also do another shuffle after" but if that's the case why pile at all? At best you're wasting time, at worst you're stacking.
@monory12345@zoe_sylveon A properly shuffled deck contains clumps, that is normal. As humans our minds trick us to believe that a "truly randomized" anything should be even, it's why you feel off when you take a multiple choice test and answer "D" 5 times in a row. In reality, random is/can be clumpy.
I'll engage in good faith here. The main argument against pile "shuffling" is that if you are going to shuffle after piling anyway, then spending that time just shuffling does just as good a job if not better at randomizing your deck since piling doesn't randomize, it's effectively stacking. (some people argue they are bad at shuffling, to which I say practice makes perfect).
