There is still a bit of cereal youth, and a prickle from the ABV and its pot still nature, but there is an increased mellowness gained from time and the warmth of the port cask.
Definitely worth a try.

Not sure if many have tried this new @TeelingWhiskey yet, but I am really impressed, even at the price point.
I remember some of the chatter when the Batch 1 SPS was released; about it being too young, etc.
However...

...this noses, tastes and feels like a true 'coming of age whiskey' from the distillery. In this context, @Celticwhiskey have rightly described it as "...showcasing the evolution of Dublin-distilled whiskey at its finest."

Congratulations to Ally Alpine and his team @Celticwhiskey for organising yet another successful Irish Whiskey Awards. So much time and effort goes on behind the scenes to bring it all together. Also congratulations to the evening's hosts @TeelingWhiskey who provided the great venue, delicious auderves, and some great cocktails!
As much as it is about the entrants and recognising the winners, it is as much about a celebration of the amazing sector.
Also thanks to @TuathGlass for again providing glassware and the trophy for overall winner.
Let's not forget the charitable contribution to a great cause, Mary's Meals (@MarysMeals) who do such a great job providing meals to those less fortunate than us.
A wonderful evening with friends!

@Bill_Linnane A good spot there. Hadn't picked up on that.
Upon reflection, it's a more contemporary logo relative to the font and branding.
Regardless, I hope it works for them!
If you're pouring a drink this weekend, make it Ireland's Best Whiskey 🥇🥃
Dunville's 21 Year Old Palo Cortado Sherry Cask Finish Single Malt has been named Whiskey Of The Year at the Irish Whiskey Awards.

Heading in to the weekend with Ireland's Whiskey Of The Year!
Today we are raising a glass to the whole team at @echlinville and everyone who has supported Dunville's on this journey to put The Spirit of Belfast back where it belongs among the top tier of world whiskeys.
There’s nothing quite like the excitement of pulling Whiskey straight from the cask. Especially when it’s going towards our First Micil Whiskey Release. Keep an eye out on our socials as we get ready to launch Galway’s first Whiskey in over 100 years! #micilwhiskey#galwaywhiskey
@Aido62@connachtwhiskey@thatsdramgood Very sherry-forward, Aidan, especially as it's cask strength. Like raisin jam, if that's a realistic description!
The SPS was the stand-out of the pair, in my opinion, and a drop I look forward to enjoying in the future!
Congrats to all the team – the wait was well worth it!

What a phenomenal night it was; celebrating the launch of @Echlinville's inaugural whiskey. A real honour and treat to have been invited to the event.
'The Beginning' is a pair of Single Pot Still and Single Malt whiskeys, delivered in an exceptionally well presented box.
Great dramatic launch last night!! @Echlinville, this pair of Single Estate, grain to glass 7 yr old Single Pot Still & Single Malt whiskeys are limited to 750 sets in a beautiful presentation box.
They waited 7 years to release & it was worth the wait..
Both excellent 👍
As Whiskey Live Dublin 24 begins, I hope everyone had a great time at this great event! Alas, I am in France so please sample for me!
Make sure you drink PLENTY water as the session goes on and concentrate on whiskeys and brands you haven’t tried before!
