Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is the most abundant phenolic compound in Green Tea

Majority of Green Tea’s positive effects on human health can be attributed to the high polyphenol and flavonoid content.

Catechins, which are the primary flavonoids found in Green Tea, account for about 30–40% of the solid components of this plant (EGCG is one of them).

EGCG has gained scientific interest recently due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties

I review 4 recent papers on EGCG and Cancer.

EGCG has these anti-cancer properties:

- anti-oxidant - free radical scavenger
- suppresses production of inflammatory cytokines
- suppresses NF-kB
- suppresses VEGF (tumor angiogenesis)
- suppresses MMPs (proteins involved in metastasis)
- suppresses EGFR, mTOR, JAK/STAT, MAPK - numerous cancer cell signaling pathways responsible for tumor growth & survival
- has epigenetic influence, inhibits DNA methylation

Now for some UNIQUE features of Green Tea Extract and EGCG:

EGCG is the most active of all the catechins, having an antioxidant activity that is 25 to 100 times stronger than that of vitamins C and E

Big pharma is rushing to test it in human trials (very unusual) - 13 Clinical Trials ongoing for breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung, colorectal, pancreatic, etc.

EGCG has the unique ability to PREVENT CANCER and prevent Tumor formation.

EGCG plays a key role in genomic instability - reduces chromosomal instability and inhibits apoptosis in normal cells, while it does the opposite in cancer cells. This is relevant in the mRNA era of genotoxicity!

EGCG also interacts with telomerase and affects telomere length (shortens it for cancer cells)

Can EGCG actually play a role in COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine Induced genotoxicity? EGCG has also been shown to be able to repair some DNA damage. This is a special feature.

EGCG also increases expression of p53 tumor suppressor gene (p53 is damaged by COVID-19 Vaccine spike protein and may be responsible for some extremely aggressive TURBO CANCERS)

Wildest feature of EGCG is that it is an immune checkpoint inhibitor - it can inhibit cancer by inhibiting PD-L1 expression.

There are 3 drugs on the market that do this (PD-L1 Inhibitors), 2 of them are owned by Pfizer and AstraZeneca. Pfizer just sold its drug Bavencio to Merck (which used to have a patent on Ivermectin).

EGCG is one of the most fascinating supplements with anti-cancer properties I have seen yet.

Great Tea Extract (EGCG):

1. Use it for cancer PREVENTION if you have any elevated risk

2. Use it in an "Alternative Cancer Treatment Protocol" as a bioactive compound that addresses genomic instability, increases p53, blocks cancer cell glycolysis, and a dozen other anti-cancer effects

3. Big pharma has taken a major interest in it.
