We went on a much needed road trip this weekend. Came home with lots of fun things, including some Paddington stuff. I never read those books as a kid--no particular reason! Never too old to change that. And I ❤️ to visit Lush!

A few things that help me when the weight gets heavy:

Step away from the news. Not forever...but for today. The world will still be there tomorrow, and you cannot fight from empty.

Get outside if you can. Even ten minutes. There's something about sky and ground that resets the spirit in a way nothing else does.

Find one person today...just ONE...and tell them something true and good about them. Outward focus breaks the spiral faster than anything I know.

And pray. Or meditate. Or sit in silence. Whatever your practice is...do it today...not as a last resort...but as the first thing.

The fact that you're still here, still reading...still fighting to understand what's happening...that's not weakness. That's faithfulness.

You're not alone in this!
