@LKennally@BlakeHHarris 1). I think you have to see what you have at the trade deadline with your starting pitching & relievers. If Glasnow/Yamamoto/Stone are all good to go and one more starter pitching well, then you make some moves. If not, I'm with Larry "Life's Not a Two Way Street, Tina Baby".
@AndrewBees89614 The main piece in the trade that sent a player Andrew wanted to send packing, and after a few disappointing seasons with the Red Sox, they chose to send packing. I can't for the life of me imagine why the Andrew would want to kick him to the curb:
@AndrewBees89614@Howard_Cole And Verdugo arrived to the big club in 2017, so one season from 5. Friedman has been coincidentally regaled for player development.
@AndrewBees89614@Howard_Cole AF did benefit from some crafty drafting & player evaluation from Logan, but Seager, Bellinger, UrΓas & Pederson combined for one major league season under Ned. Kershaw's career under Ned was a series of underachievements and a scarcity of World Series appearances (bullpen?)...
@NoYes9868OI47@Howard_Cole Friedman knows very well that the roster needs a lot of injured players back and that they could use some players. With his offseason moves he has made the Dodgers contenders for years to come.
He will not overpay. He will wait until desperate teams who don't want to pay give in
@NoYes9868OI47@Howard_Cole It has been a decade since the Angels have won 90 games in a season. During that decade, the Dodgers have won 90+ games in every season that the team played 162 games. Comparing the Angels with/ the Dodgers:
@hochalicious@canalchapin@BauerOutage@DodgersNation the hoch ignoring a 194 game suspension that resulted in Trevor pitching zero innings in the playoffs for the Dodgers while pocketing 65 million dollars of their money.
@DodgersNation My first and last move as GM would be to walk down the hall to the Dodgers Director of Baseball Operations and ask him what moves He was considering. I recognize that I have won zero games as an MLB GM and he has fielded the best team (not cheating) in 33% of his Dodger tenure.
@BSaarX@Klein25 If he can't play 2nd or 3rd for a team 5 games under .500, why would his defense at those positions be more desirable for a team 17 games over .500?
