Serious question - white or White?

In reference to, white person/White person (as opposed to Black or Indigenous person).

CP and AP style guides have opted for white, lower case. My go-to, Elements of Indigenous Style, appears to be silent on this.

On top of everything else, makes individuals feel responsible for unsafe structures/work!!
