$GOOGL GEMINI CONTINUES TO TAKE MARKET SHARE
Gemini just keeps climbing. Grok has now passed DeepSeek, and the AI traffic race is clearly shifting instead of staying locked in place.
Over the last year, Gemini has gone from 5.3% of global GenAI web traffic to 22.0%. That is a massive move in a space that used to look completely dominated.
Most of that share is coming from ChatGPT. ChatGPT has slid from 86.6% down to 64.6% over the same stretch. Even if things are starting to level out short term, the bigger picture is that users are spreading out and Google is benefiting the most.
Meanwhile, $MSFT Copilot hasn’t really gone anywhere. Despite being built into Windows, Office, and Edge, its share has slipped from 1.3% to 1.1%. Being everywhere doesn’t matter if people aren’t choosing to use it. Right now, more users are choosing Gemini.
