Dozens of Twitter followers, 2 YouTube subscribers, hundreds of dollars invested...I don’t want to say I’m a big deal, I’ll let me resume do that for me.
Haven’t done a portfolio update in a while. I’ve adjusted how I track my dividends, so this update only accounts for dividend stocks in my brokerage account and not stocks in my IRA.

@GrindeOptions I’ve always believed it’d be beneficial to add some requirement for service. Military or community or political service. Couple that with term limits for our politicians and maybe we’d get higher skilled, more engaged citizens with better political options. Crazy idea, I know.
@dividendology I look at the entirety of my investment strategy and try to buy into whatever aspect of that strategy happens to be down.
Right now I’m focused on REITs, and may end up picking up some bonds 🤷♂️.
Definitely not buying tech right now.
Also, always DCAing through my 401k.
Saw a couple of pennies in a parking lot a few days back, was at the same parking lot again today and the pennies were still there.
Do you pick up pennies when you see them on the ground?
Scenario: Retired, $20k qual. div., $5k int., $25k sale of stocks ($10k is capital gains). Total $ used, $50k, $35k “earned income”.
Question: If I do a Roth conversion and want to stay below 12%, do I add the conversion to the $50k I’m spending or the $35k of “earned income”?
@SavingsCaptain Seems they are price anchoring for the non-pro model (likely to launch in 2025 for $1499).
$1499 will seems a lot more reasonable compared to the pro model at $3499. However, if they launched the standard version at $1499 with the Meta Quest 3 at $499, it’d be a tough(er) sell.
@FluentInFinance I’ve had good and bad experiences in Airbnb’s and would say that the ceiling for Airbnb is higher then the ceiling for a hotel, but the floor for a hotel is definitely better than the floor for an Airbnb.
