Live according to the teachings of the Bible. Keep the Sabbath Holy as God Commanded and receive the gift of Eternal life through the New Covenant Passover.
Have you heard about the Passover?
Would you be surprised if I told you it is something that is fundamental to our salvation?
——
The Law of Christ [1 Cor 9:21] stipulates that we should keep this festival [1 Cor 5:7-8].
When God came to this earth he fulfilled all the Laws [Mat 5:17]—through the Passover, we see that Jesus became the Passover Lamb [1 Cor 5:7], giving us his flesh to eat in accordance with the law [Num 9:11-12], and his blood as a sign of the new covenant.
Without keeping the Passover [Luk 22:8, 15, 19-20] and receiving the flesh and blood of Christ, we cannot have eternal life [Joh 6:53-54].
@OMApproach By this evidence it proposes that so too something happened roughly 1.5 Kya, so too this is roughly when the Roman Empire falls.
I am not well studied on the fall of the Roman Empire but nonetheless the timing is particularly strange in context.
@Dhruvam987 Most of them didn’t keep up but they can hit the center of attention at any point.
Perplexity is still a go to for my search needs being one of the only niche platforms focused specifically on that, but on platform search is actually quite alright.
@FELibrary_ This is like climbing a stair case and claiming that gravity doesn’t exist.
Just because something can go up doesn’t mean the force of gravity wasn’t acting on it all along.
Start with a hobby. You won’t get any jobs if you can’t socialise.
The easiest way to learn to socialise is sharing by common interests with people.
Pick something that has group activities for a hobby and find a club or a place where you can gather with others to do said hobby.
I liked MMA, it’s very up close and personal with your partner during sessions so you are forced to break that awkwardness barrier down.
Anything works as long as it gets you next to new people.
You are mixing up threads here, I am sure we never spoke on baptism, this started over the trinity which we basically agree on as far as I remember.
Regarding baptism, it would make no sense to baptise a baby who cannot receive Christ.
But I still don’t see why we have to switch conversations. The Passover directly pertains to our salvation [John 6:53-54].
Nothing is more important than our salvation. Baptism does too pertain to salvation, but without the Passover, baptism is pointless.
As a matter of fact, baptism is a very requirement for partaking in the feast of Passover.
Just as the physical Israelites were required by law to be circumcised before eating the Passover, we too must be spiritually circumcised (baptism) before we eat the Passover and enter the body of Christ.
Passover observance is pretty clear:
Luke 22:8, 15, 19-20
“Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
Clearly we can see, Jesus established the new covenant on the night of the Passover, giving us his flesh and blood. By partaking in the Passover and receiving the flesh and blood, what is in store for us?
John 6:53-54
“Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
Further, we see the apostles clearly testify about the Passover:
1 Corinthians 5:7-8
“Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
This is the clearest line of evidence, but the evidence supporting the observance of the Passover is truly insurmountable in my opinion.
@bopo_jodhipati If you are facing the blackboard whilst studying, then you are studying the blackboard.
By this example you have proven that by facing the cube and worshipping, you are worshipping the cube.
@CertainSpeaks The Cross is idolotary. Recognising God in human form is not.
Jesus is not the only time God came down to earth as a man.
God also met Abraham in person, in the flesh, and with two angels in the flesh (Genesis 18).
The English lived there like Kings because they produced so much overflowing economy.
As a matter of fact, all of the British colonies are now flourishing and rich cities, this is because the English brought civilisation to these countries.
Law and order was brought into these countries, and with that, infrastructure was setup, and these places begun to excel, benefiting the English who ultimately had the biggest stake in these projects.
@MasterMaliq What prophecies are in the Quaran that have been fulfilled to the letter?
Are you aware of how many are in the Bible, though you call it the works of men?
I forgot to mention here, a key point about the aged wine is it’s being aged. As the Passover had not been kept for 1600 years and this is the only wine that can swallow up death, it is surely prophesying what is happening today with the restoration of the Passover.
This is also prophesied by the Old Testament Passover. After God established the Passover, the Israelites kept it that year and the first year in the desert, but then, they didn’t keep it until the day before they enter Canaan.
Similarly, Jesus established the Passover mirroring God’s actions, then the Apostles kept it in the early church, but it was abolished and was not kept until the last age, this age. Now that the day of judgement is nearing, so too has the Passover been kept once again, and after keeping the Passover, we will enter the heavenly Canaan.
There are two main lines of scripture, the first is not as clear and direct, but it’s only a single verse so it’s the best place to start.
Isaiah 25:6-8 “… the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast … a banquet of aged wine… he will swallow up death forever”
Here God is bringing a banquet of rich foods and aged wine, that has the power to swallow up death forever. As we discussed previously, this is only through the Passover bread and wine (flesh and blood), nothing else holds the promise of eternal life.
The second prophecy is much more direct; it is the prophecy of Daniel 7.
The quick context is that through the prior verses and interpretations we can see that this one being spoken of arises after the fall of the Roman Empire, actually matching the actions of the papacy.
If you wish to study this it needs 30-40 minutes to cover the whole of Daniel 2 and 7 and align it with history, but it is super clear.
Nonetheless we have this towards the end of the prophecy:
Daniel 7:25 “He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.”
In history, the Catholic Church abolished the Passover in 325 AD, the Sabbath in 361 AD, etc. Just as prophesied, they oppressed the holy people (inquisition) and changed the set times and laws.
The prophecy also shows us they will have power for 1260 days (3.5 years), which in prophecy equates to 1260 years. This matches what we see in history too.
I split this up as it’s not nearly as topical to the trinity, I probably shouldn’t have mentioned it here lol.
But I can say you are spot on with the verses. John 6 really tells us everything we need to know.
In John 6 Jesus mentions the Manna that their ancestors ate, in comparison to his bread, though the bread he was talking about was the Passover bread and wine, we can see why:
John 6:32-34 “it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
John 6:53-54 “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.”
Clearly the life giving bread is Jesus flesh and blood, but how do we eat Jesus’ flesh and blood?
Luke 22:8 “Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
Luke 22:19-20 “And he took bread, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.’”
Very clearly we can see, the Passover bread and wine is his flesh and blood.
This is clearly the Manna, but why is it considered hidden in Rev 2:17?
Actually, the Passover of the New Covenant was abolished in 325 AD, for over 1600 years, nobody had been able to restore the Passover, even though it is clearly a festival Christians should keep.
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 “Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth”
Yeah I guess we don’t disagree, Christ and the Spirit are one, they both are the comforter, it’s one of the many proofs that I consider. It clearly shows us that Jesus is the Holy Spirit.
Nonetheless, the Trinity is important because of the names, for Jesus will come again to Earth a second time, but not with the name of Jesus.
Mt 28:19 “Therefor go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”
We can see clearly here, each have a name, we of course know the name of the Father (Jehovah) and the Son (Jesus), but the Holy Spirit’s name is only testified in Rev 2:17.
Rev 2:17 “white stone with a new name”
1 Pe 2:4 “As you come to him [Jesus], the living stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God”
Clearly the living stone is Jesus, and it claims here he comes with a new name.
This is important, for in each age the name of God has been important, concerning prayer and salvation etc.
The Bible clearly testifies [Rev 22:17], that in the last days it is the Spirit and the Bride that lead us to salvation.
How do you explain Isaiah 9:6?
Isaiah 9:6
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
What about the prophetical name of Jesus?
Isaiah 7:14
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”
Immanuel in Hebrew means God with us.
‘Im’ = With
‘Nu’ = Us
‘El’ = God
What does ‘God with us’ mean? Why was that name given to a child born of the flesh?
Comforter is a title not a name. Jesus was given so many titles in prophecy, so too is Jesus called a Mediator, but we do not say his name is mediator.
Rev 2:17
“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.”
Do you know what the hidden manna is? The new name is clear enough, but most people struggle to identify what is the hidden manna.
@mercury_solace The Holy Spirit is second coming Christ, it is a new name.
Rev 22:17 “The Spirit and the Bride say come… take the free gift of the water of life”
Both the son and the spirit are Christ something.
If we could do the same in Muslim countries it would be fine to do it here.
Christianity is being persecuted by Islam. And many of the same Islamists propose bringing Sharia law to our countries.
If we stand back and peacefully allow coexistence, it will end when there is a large enough Muslim population to assert dominance on us, then too Christianity will be outlawed here.
I know it’s a far way from where we are today but if we take no action now, things only get worse and we have less opportunities to prevent this from taking place in the future.
@TheProjectUnity Maybe our proximity to the Sun? During the summer because of Earths tilt we are probably as close or closer to the sun than the equator.
