Five people have reportedly died, and three others sustained injuries after a tricycle lost control and crashed into a parked trailer in Accra this evening.
The Presidents of Senegal, Namibia, Liberia, São Tomé and Principe, Prime Minister of Barbados, Vice Prime Minister of Equitorial Guinea, Speaker of the Algerian Parliament and Ministers from over 80 countries arrive in Ghana for the Next Steps Conference on Reparatory Justice convened by President John Dramani Mahama.
The convening comes three months after the historic adoption of UN Resolution A/RES/80/250 declaring the transatlantic enslavement as the gravest crime against humanity.
Finally!!! Someone who understands me. This is just gross indiscipline on the part of the student and if the teacher has been arrested, the student must also be arrested and dealt with in accordance with the laws of Ghana as she is 18 and the laws of the school in which case she must be expelled.
You are the president, for God's sake.
Who are you blaming?
You appointed MCEs who supervise the issuance of permits for unlawful construction.
You've been president before.
And you turn around blaming everyone else but yourself?
Under your current presidency, go to Ho and see how people are filling wetlands and are building haphazardly around UHAS.
Because what is this?
This video will be viewed by teachers of that school and officials of the ministry of education but no disciplinary action will be taken against this student. And that ladies and gentlemen is the reason for the moral degeneration and the decline of academic performance of the youth of this country. @iharunaiddrisu
I see where you’re coming from. But what you’re saying is like saying that car companies should contribute to paying for the healthcare costs of people involved in road accidents. As long as there’s no fault in the car or anything like that it’s up to the driver to take care not to get into an accident or they pay for themselves. So in this situation anyone caught throwing bottles or anything on the street should be fined and the monies paid be used to clean the streets.
@eddie_wrt This wasn’t assault, they were fighting so the student should also be arrested. Just because you were beaten up during a fight doesn’t make you a victim.
The 3rd world conversations we have so are heart breaking
Is there light at home ?
Is the pipe flowing today ?
Has our road flooded ?
Won’t you call a taxi ? the ambulance won’t come
Will he get a bed at the hospital ?
Just depressing conversations
