BREAKING: Five-Star QB Elijah Haven has Committed to Alabama, he tells me for @Rivals The 6’5 215 QB from Baton Rouge, LA chose the Crimson Tide over Georgia
He’s the No. 1 QB in the 2027 Rivals Industry Rankings https://t.co/WorRVGSus3
Nate Oats: "I'm not sure how you tell a guy that's played four years in the EuroLeague, which is a lot higher level than the G League, that he's eligible to come, and because Charles chose an academic institution to start with and the other players chose the professional route, that Charles is gonna get punished. Really, what it does is it gives very preferential treatment to the international players and penalizes American players for choosing to go to an academic institution. We are in the NCAA, which is a conglomerate of academic institutions. We should not be punishing American kids that go to American high schools that then go to colleges, from being able to come back and pursue their degree and go to college, and giving preferential treatment to international players."
If you really want to light the fuse, let Alabama do something that creates real leverage and watch the entire country lose its mind.
You want to fix NIL? Let the Crimson Tide build a $40 million CFB roster and college administrators would suddenly discover solutions within a year.
And I’ll say this too — I applaud @Greg_Byrne and @nate_oats for finally standing up to the NCAA. For far too many years, I watched Alabama under different leadership bow at the feet of the NCAA instead of pushing back.
I’d love nothing more than to see UA be the program that finally exposes the NCAA’s corruption and forces real change.
There is absolutely no difference between this play and the Buffalo play. Adams did not make any move. He caught it, secured it as he was tackled and then stripped on the ground. Same exact thing. Same exact. This is why fans hate the NFL refs. No consistency game to game
