[Irish Ranger (Sevvy) @VeteranIrish]

A bagpiper was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be held at a cemetery in the country. As the bagpiper was not familiar with this area, he got lost and, being a proud man, didnt ask for directions.

Finally, an hour late, he arrived and saw the funeral director had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. He felt very bad and apologised to the men for being late. He went to the side of the grave and looked down to see the vault lid already in place. Not knowing what else to do, he started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. He played out his heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. And as he played ‘Amazing Grace,’ the workers began to weep. They wept, he wept, they all wept together.

When he finished, he packed up his bagpipes and started for his car. Though his head hung low, his heart was full. As he opened the door to his car, he heard one of the workers say: “I never seen nothin’ like that before and I’ve been putting in septic tanks for twenty years.”
😁😁

Been watching the Tudors on catch up definitely giving a bad impression of Ann and her family making them out to be jealous and controlling Henry especially in regards to Catherine and Mary.

About the sort of time to bring this little gem back.. #pompey

[Malcolm Deathers @Dizz1957]

@pompeyelevens @PompeyNewsNow @pn_neil_allen Think it should have included players from different era's. Although it's fantastic the players are roughly from the same era would have included Peter Harris from the 40s and 50s, perhaps Saunders from the 60s and Dave Kemp from the 70s.

[Malcolm Deathers @Dizz1957]

Was this the custom in Tudor times? Seems so really inappropriate even 500 yrs ago.

[Malcolm Deathers @Dizz1957]

@TudorsDynasty @TudorFaces @tudor_historian @tudorblogger @TracyBorman have been watching the program about the Tudors can't believe Margaret Beaufort was married at 12yrs old and gave birth to Henry Tudor at 13yrs old.
