I have been thinking a lot lately about how most people assume the current market volatility is just another cycle. People think we will have a crash, a recovery, and then another boom just like we always have. However, I truly believe we are living through the final great asymmetric wealth transfer of our entire lifetimes.

We are standing at the edge of a total structural reset. Once the global financial infrastructure is finished, the game changes forever. As soon as stablecoins are everywhere, XRP becomes the universal settlement asset, and liquidity is stabilized by algorithms, the markets will become efficient in perpetuity. When a system becomes perfectly efficient, the glitches that allow for massive gains and life-changing bets simply disappear.

The system we use today is fundamentally broken. Right now, there is about $27 trillion locked up in accounts just to settle cross-border payments. It is slow and incredibly expensive because it traps liquidity where it cannot be used.

Because the current system is slow and driven by human emotion, it creates massive gaps. These gaps are exactly where wealth is made, but those windows are closing fast. With the implementation of new global standards and instant settlement, the era of making easy money from market inefficiencies is coming to an end.
