October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Down syndrome is a genetic condition involving an extra copy of chromosome 21—but a diagnosis never tells someone’s whole story. People with Down syndrome have their own talents, personalities, dreams, and so much to offer. Everyone deserves to be valued, included, and celebrated for who they are, inside and out.
