Beyond all the questions about rotations and the arena, as a collective of fans and people, I want to point to this specific moment from today.

Ja Morant, the Blazers' highly critiqued new addition, gave us an answer to a question that shows the human in an athlete:

That last sentence hits hard, as even in his new home and with a clean slate, it’s those in that new environment that he feels still judge him.

I’m not the leader of Blazer’s fans or anything close to it, but I ask that, as a collective, we form an opinion this human being only by what he exemplifies in this jersey and in this city, not from a mistake from 5 years ago.

Wayno says there was nothing weird about Ye wanting to personally unveil a street named after his own mother, especially after losing her years ago.

“I’d be motherfucking damned if my moms is going to get a street named after her and somebody else is going to pull that up instead of me.”

He says the moment had nothing to do with Ye’s music, Drake, Pusha T, Jay-Z or any of his past controversies, and questions why people were even looking for something negative in it.
