2025 Derby 4th NEW GROUND trained by Henri-François Devin over in France has been purchased by JP McManus and sent over to Joseph O’Brien in Ireland ahead of the jumps season 👀.

Charlie Appleby was certainly optimistic about FORTITUDINE’s future after his 2 1/4 length win at Kempton on Wednesday. That was only his second career start and he believes there’s still more to come with him only having “a light frame like his brother” (REBELS ROMANCE) He says he’s been toying with the idea of taking him to Newmarket next for the 3YO 1m 4f race however he couldn’t remember the name of the race he was debating targeting,however that was ground dependant. Bright future for this and excited to see where he goes next season as a 4 yo.

BIG MONEY MOVES !!!

Minellar Premier formerly trained by Nicky Henderson before switching to Richard Hobson and winning two bumpers has been bought by the Megsons for £300k and sent to Jonjo O’neill ahead of the fast approaching jumps season. I got to witness his impressive bumper win at Wetherby back in march and I’d think he has a huge future ahead of him over hurdles and perhaps even the bigger obstacles.

NIRVANA STAR

NIRVANA STAR is a chestnut filly who’s first and only run came in the Prix Wild monarch, she was last seen finishing a promising 5 lengths behind Nathalie Jolie who has since been sold to JP McManus and sent to Nicky Henderson. She was 3 1/2 lengths ahead of TSUNAWATARI in 3rd so she wasn’t disgraced in placing second she showed she held her position and provided something to build on. She is bred out of Glory Star by Jeu St Eloi. Her sire is a pillar of French jumps breeding, who has already produced another top jumper in Kargese. Shortly after NIRVANA STAR’s Auteuil performance she was snapped up in a private sale and sent to Willie Mullins whose juvenile record doesn’t need explaining it’s that prolific. Mullins has won 6 of the last 10 Triumph running’s so you’d undoubtedly take note when it comes to his juveniles. I believe this horse ranks highly in this seasons Juvenile pecking order as of yet and is one to watch.

French Juvenile Exports 26/27 Jumps Season (THREAD)

NATHALIE JOLIE

NATHALIE JOLIE is a 3 YO chestnut filly out of Morena du Berlais by Nathaniel , she was trained in France by Mickaël Séror and won the Prix Wild Monarch at Auteuil on debut in impressive fashion ( by 5 lengths).Shortly after her impressive display on debut she was snapped up by national hunt racing kingpin JP McManus , who has entrusted Nicky Henderson in training her to be the next top juvenile over here in the UK. The majority of her former rivals from the Prix Wild Monarch have not raced since the only one who has is Mauves (finished 4th in the Prix Wild Monarch). She has since finished a 15 3/4 lengths 6th in the Prix Bois Rouaud, which was won by RAFFLES JET. This was back in late may. Nathalie Jolie looks an exciting prospect for Nicky Henderson who has been put in charge of training some of the top French juveniles of latter years. Some of the big names include: Lulamba , Sir Gino and the 2019 Triumph Hurdle winner- Pentland Hills.
