@RepThomasMassie I am SO angry that our first priority is not eliminating our debt. I'm probably considered upper middle class but I'd prefer national debt reduction over a few thousand dollars in tax breaks that I don't need. I'm more concerned about my children and grandchildren and this debt.

@ChuckOPM @RShillingburg1 Thank you for looking into this. The DRP written agreement clearly stated "those employees who accept the offer will not be subject to any reduction in pay and benefits." Losing the FERS Supplement would be a major reduction in pay.

@News12LI I'm pretty sure it will be the taxpayers who pay both the compensatory and the punitive (punishment) damages. There's something wrong with the system when the taxpayer homeowner has to pay for the bad conduct of police officers and teachers who molest their students.

@HaroldFordJr I was shocked when I saw the headline. Then I read the article in @VanityFair. Where did he say that? Where did he suggest it? In a perfect world, every war should be "settled" before more lives are lost. "Settled" doesn't mean giving one side everything they want.

@Newsday RE taxes will continue to be high on LI bc of stuff like this: Suffolk County cop who ran an illegal brothel got paid more than $300k in a year. Suspended Hempstead Superintendent gets paid $310K to stay home. Government must become much better stewards of taxpayer money.

@Newsday The SCPD officer made more than $300k with overtime. In this case, he falsified reports about where he was and what he was doing when he responded to his brothel out of his jurisdiction. I'd bet he did the same throughout his career to frauduently claim overtime.
