We registered 2601 new voters in Kitale but this is how we travelled.

John Methu: The other day, 12,000 women from Maendeleo Ya Wanawake were invited to State House, each of them was given 10,000 shillings, that is a whopping 120 million in one sitting. I hear today the Akorino were being given 3000, they were expecting 10,000, and they were calling me saying huyu mtu alikata pesa yetu. Assume they were 5000, that is 15 million. How do we build an economy by giving people handouts? You saw the DP spends 8 million every day on choppers to go and distribute UDA t-shirts in Garissa. How can we run a country like that? #CitizenSundayLive
You must defeat fear, to be a good leader.
I mentioned the road from Murungaru- Gilgil road to the President on Wednesday. It was advertised on Friday.
Elgeyo Marakwet governor spent Ksh 273M to buy SEMEN for artificial insemination on cows.
Nandi County bought a 500ml bottle of soda at Ksh 2,000 per bottle.
Vihiga Governor did a house warming party at a cost of Ksh 5M,
Bungoma County purchased a single Christmas tree at a cost of Ksh 3.5M
Mandera County purchased non existing seedlings at Ksh 55M.
Wajir County ( Governor is the chairperson CoG) spent 362 million to buy supplements for wild animals.
Meanwhile, the National Assembly has approved an additional budget of Ksh 363B raising the 2025/26 budget to Ksh 4.66T.
This country needs a serious revolution.
Reset - Rebuild - Restore.
Jana mtaa ni same story.
The growing frustration among young people attempting to register as voters across the country is deeply concerning. What we are witnessing is starting to feel less like a logistical challenge and more like a deliberate barrier to youth participation in our democracy.
There is no shortage of capable, energetic young people ready and willing to serve as clerks for IEBC. Many are unemployed and eager for meaningful opportunities. Why not engage them directly in this process? Expanding the workforce by recruiting and deploying youth as registration clerks would not only address capacity issues but also empower the very demographic we should be encouraging to participate.
The manpower exists. What appears to be lacking is the necessary facilitation and commitment to ensure a smooth, accessible registration process. Reports of registration centers being understaffed or, in some cases, completely unattended are unacceptable.
