@themikecasey@AlexJosephHall You are right about the legitimacy . But if you get sued you still have to answer back with lawyers stating that legitimacy , which cost money and court fees , and or settle out of court . And whats crazy is it’s happened with royalty free fx risers as well .
@themikecasey@AlexJosephHall So there banking on the fact you will settle out of court , meanwhile this now messed up your sync relationship . Because they’ve dragged what ever network into the damages .
@themikecasey@AlexJosephHall Both apply in this example as I have had both come up . The idea is that if someone uses the sample before you and registers it , there lawyers think they have copyright infringement claim , even when the fine print says they don’t . They know you don’t wanna pay for litigating.
@AlexJosephHall Yea , YouTube is one thing , but when it’s sync licensing , lawyers get involved . It’s so bad that Even when you have talked with and have the original sample maker on the writers credit. The lawyers will still sue , hoping to take it to a settlement out of court .
@THEK0UNT Ahh yes the mrl calibration test tapes , dem tangs are pricey now days . I always over emphasize the low end bump around 100hz when calibrating the MTRs and soften the highs , too loose some of the transparency.
