[State of Palestine @Palestine_UN]

On this day 24 years ago, the world watched, helplessly, as Jamal al-Durrah tried to protect his 12-year-old son Muhammad from Israeli bullets that rained down on them in Gaza for 40 minutes. Despite pleads, Israeli soldiers intentionally shot Muhammad in the stomach, whose final moments of fear and horror were caught on camera and streamed by France TV, and injured his father.

Muhammad became the defining and haunting image of the Second Intifada.

@Teslaboy16 @archillect Many languages use them, C, C++, JavaScript, Java, CSS, Go and a few others

[Dave Hurley @DJMHurley]

@dojapallet @alfie_messenger @kalina_chung @amurkymuc @SimuLiu @MarvelStudios @shangchi And I'm fine with that too. If people get mad because other people say that they're not concerned with a character's race, it's pointing out that they should be focused more on race than story. We're all interested in this movie and for our own reasons, nothing wrong with that

[Dave Hurley @DJMHurley]

@dojapallet @alfie_messenger @kalina_chung @amurkymuc @SimuLiu @MarvelStudios @shangchi And to me and many others, we just see a new character. We're interested in their story. If you like a movie more because of representation, power to you. It's pointless barking down someone's neck because they point out race doesn't matter to them

[Dave Hurley @DJMHurley]

@dojapallet @alfie_messenger @kalina_chung @amurkymuc @SimuLiu @MarvelStudios @shangchi 'Who gives a fuck' is just a stronger way to say why does it matter. At the end of the day we all think the movie looks good. By getting annoyed at other people because they're not worried about a character's race when you want representation is your own issue

[Dave Hurley @DJMHurley]

@kalina_chung @dojapallet @alfie_messenger @amurkymuc @SimuLiu @MarvelStudios @shangchi So trying to insult people because you think they're being racist. You clearly know people based on a small social media interaction. Just because we're not represented in the movie doesn't mean we can't look forward to it. Assuming you have to be represented to like it is racist

[Dave Hurley @DJMHurley]

@dojapallet @alfie_messenger @kalina_chung @amurkymuc @SimuLiu @MarvelStudios @shangchi And apparently white people can't get excited over this movie because their not represented in it? Like you call him racist when he's not focused on the race of the character yet you use race to say we shouldn't be excited for the movie.

[Dave Hurley @DJMHurley]

@dojapallet @alfie_messenger @kalina_chung @amurkymuc @SimuLiu @MarvelStudios @shangchi So apparently it's racist to not be too worried about the race or nationality of a new hero. OK great that shang chi brings in representation but the guy thinks the movie looks great. Both sides are valid, his shouldn't be shitted on just cause it doesn't matter to him about race
