A kidnap victim has shot and killed one of his captors and injured a second.

The victim was a pedestrian on the R550, Gauteng.

The men grabbed him and took him.

Four male suspects (aged 20-39) were arrested in connection with a murder that occurred in Yeoville, Johannesburg, on April 9, 2025. Following a 48-hour manhunt by the JMPD's Tactical Response Unit (TRU) and Integrated Intelligence Operations Centre (IIOC), the suspects were located and apprehended on April 10th after being identified through CCTV footage. One suspect was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
