Yesterday the equality regulator @EHRCScotland published a report aiming to answer the question: Is Scotland Fairer?
While some improvements have been achieved over the last five years, many people have experienced worsening inequalities.
Here are some of the key findings… ⬇️
Today we published an assessment of equality and human rights in Scotland over the last five years.
Our analysis focuses on the nine protected characteristics safeguarded by the Equality Act 2010 and the progress and challenges in areas like education, health, justice and work⬇️
The EHRC’s Scotland Commissioner and Deputy Chair @ProfLesleyS calls for more to be done to address these inequalities. The analysis presented can help drive improvements in public services and better data collection by PC will help tackle unfair disparities further.
We are delighted that the Scottish Government has now allocated funding to secure Community Link Workers in Glasgow for the next three years.☀️
