🇮🇪 🥈It's heptathlon silver for Ireland's Kate O'Connor!!!
Despite nursing a knee injury, O'Connor shows incredible guts to run a PB - her fifth of championships - to make the podium! #WorldAthleticsChamps
Terry Kennedy’s statement regarding the cancelling of men’s 7s is pitch perfect
The fact that the announcement came out of the blue, following a successful 2024 is really disappointing
Team Ireland athletes Mark English with his bronze medal from the men's 800m, Sarah Healy with her gold medal from the women's 3000m and Kate O'Connor with her bronze medal from the women's pentathlon at the European Athletics Indoor Championships! 🥳

@GalvinSinead Lack of understanding on how significant the Women's Team actually was. They fell into the trap of placing the gold medal at Europeans as a higher achievement than the Olympics. European gold can sometimes be better than 4th at Olympics but not when it comes to these women
These are only some of the women who have inspired and revolutionised 400m running and 4x400m relays in Ireland. Many of them will continue to do so for years to come but for we have to enjoy this astounding achievement that is 4th in the Olympic Games 🇮🇪🇮🇪
