I have never responded to or commented on these posts, but this is deeply troubling. Of course, you are absolutely correct, Mr. President--you have accomplished what seems impossible already, and have so much left to do to achieve your aggressive agenda--I'm definitely not "tired of winning". That's what makes this situation all the more troubling. It is an unforced error by AG Bondi that has further eroded, rather than rebuilt, trust and credibility in our Justice Department, and by proxy, your administration. It is painful to see this regrettable and unnecessary distraction overshadowing your wins. Mr. President, I have faith that you can save this situation, but you may not be able to save AG Bondi from herself. This situation has built exponentially over the months, and even if tamped down, she will continue to be who she is — intelligent, accomplished, completely loyal and committed to you, but without the seasoned, instinctive communication and public media skills, authentic humility, and selflessness we see in the rest of your cabinet. This is bigger than one person--she is a distraction, taking focus away from your accomplishments, and should step aside in service to you, your agenda, and the millions in this country and around the world who have faith that you will save us. This is your time -- your legacy -- as noble as it may be, please don't fall on your sword for AG Bondi.

To the Americans:

I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States.

And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness:

You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence.

This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns.

Success is equated with exploitation.
Ambition is looked upon with contempt.

This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom.

But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated.

This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet.

And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America:

Thank God for the United States.

Thank God for the wisdom of its founders.
Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man.
Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners.

Long may your admirable country dominate the world.

Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states.

The system is identifying warning signs that clinicians might otherwise miss

At Tampa General Hospital in Florida, a real-time data platform is changing how doctors spot one of medicine's deadliest conditions. The system, developed with Palantir, pulls together data from across the hospital – vital signs, lab results, clinician notes – and analyzes it continuously to flag early signs of sepsis. Since it was introduced, staff say they are catching sepsis earlier and seeing fewer patients die from it.

The system is estimated to have helped save 886 lives since August 2022. Sepsis is notoriously difficult to catch early. It can begin with small shifts in vital signs that do not immediately stand out – slight increases in heart rate, minor temperature changes, subtle indicators that can easily be lost in the noise of a busy hospital floor. Once it takes hold, though, it can escalate quickly, triggering organ failure and, in many cases, death. Roughly one in five patients diagnosed with sepsis does not survive.

The approach at Tampa General is built around catching early signals before they develop into a crisis. The hospital partnered with Palantir to use its Foundry platform alongside existing clinical systems.

The result is a continuous stream of aggregated data pulled from electronic health records, lab results, clinician notes and bedside monitors. Instead of sitting in separate systems, that data is unified and presented in real time through a centralized dashboard that tracks roughly 1,000 patients at once.

From there, the software looks for patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed. When those patterns suggest the early stages of sepsis, alerts are sent to a rapid response team, giving clinicians a chance to act before the condition worsens. At Tampa General, patients flagged with suspected sepsis get antibiotics within an hour.

For doctors and nurses on the floors, the impact is not just abstract. Dr. Jaimie Weber, vice president of medical informatics at Tampa General Hospital, said the results are evident in both the data and the discharges. "This is someone's mother, brother, sister that is going home, when before this project and these tools they would not have. From a clinical perspective, it's a game-changer," she told The Times. She pointed to the system's ability to detect early warning signs that clinicians might not immediately flag in the rush of daily work.

"Sepsis is something where time is of the essence. Diagnosing sepsis in a timely manner and getting appropriate antibiotics and appropriate treatment to the patients is what saves lives," Weber said.

Hospital data backs up that view. Analysis at Tampa General shows early deaths from sepsis are down 68% and sepsis patients are spending about 30% less time in the hospital.

Inside Tampa General, the Sepsis Hub is now one of more than 60 tools built on top of Palantir's software. The hospital's collaboration with the company began in 2021 and has since expanded. According to Etter Hoang, the hospital's chief data and analytics officer, the goal has been to turn a growing volume of digital information into something clinicians can act on quickly.

"We sit Palantir's toolsets on top of the data that's coming from our [electronic patient record] and from our machines," Hoang said, adding that the broader impact extends beyond sepsis detection. "A lot of our work with Palantir spans around being able to prioritize patients and reduce a lot of clinical variations out there. It allows clinical teams to better communicate with one another, [and improve] how quickly we place patients in the right bed, getting them to services as quickly as possible."

Outside Florida, similar technology is already in use, but often for different purposes. In the UK, Palantir's software is embedded in the National Health Service as part of its federated data platform. It is used to connect patient records and manage waiting lists, and more than half of NHS trusts are using the platform. Officials say it has helped deliver 110,000 additional operations while reducing long waits for cancer diagnoses.

So far, though, the NHS has largely refrained from using the system for real-time clinical decision support in areas such as early sepsis detection. That gap has drawn criticism from some healthcare observers, who argue that bureaucracy has slowed the rollout of technology that could support faster diagnosis and treatment. At the same time, the company's role in the NHS remains under review, with a break clause in the current contract due to be considered in 2027.

My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.

I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.

Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose.These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.

We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!

Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??

Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."

Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.

When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.

My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.

Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.

People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.

Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.

We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."

And they publish it with absolute certainty.

That’s the part that should disturb you. Not the criticism. The confidence behind it. The total absence of self-awareness it takes to judge disciplines you wouldn’t last a single semester in.

Musk does not operate in opinion. He operates in the physical layer of the universe where the math closes or the rocket does not come home.

His critics operate in a text editor.

He built the vehicle that carries NASA astronauts to the International Space Station. The satellite constellation delivering internet to active war zones. The EV that forced every automaker on Earth to abandon their combustion roadmap.

His loudest critics built a byline.

So why the coordinated hatred?

Because they lost the leash.

The attacks didn’t escalate because Musk got worse at engineering. They escalated because he bought X. He cracked open the algorithm. He handed the public square back to the people. And he shattered their ability to control what you’re allowed to think.

They don’t hate the engineer.

They hate that the engineer took their monopoly.

Senator. THAT IS OLIGARCHIC THINKING. That is TEXTBOOK "the rules apply to you people, not to me." That is the elevator music of every single billionaire you have spent 35 years pretending to oppose. In a battle of wits with your own stated beliefs, you showed up completely unarmed.

Thirty-five years in Congress. You know what your personal legislative output looks like? Eight bills passed. EIGHT. In three and a half DECADES. That works out to 0.23 bills per year. I have produced more graded anatomy exams in a single semester. Your two greatest solo legislative achievements — the ones with your name on top, the thing YOU actually DID — are the naming of a post office in Danville, Vermont, and the naming of a post office in Fair Haven, Vermont.

My message here clearly struck a nerve. A few friends from when I was press secretary, domestically and abroad, don’t like what I said. Instead of seeing how Western European nations must change, they just want to attack Trump.

The reason it struck a nerve is because they recognize that this time NATO nations are being held to account. They know they’ve come up short for decades and by denying us overflight rights, they’ve gone too far. Americans are fed up, especially with France and Spain. Trump won’t stand for it and they know it. They now fear the consequences of their inaction.

The UK, unlike its days under Thatcher or Blair, is wishy-washy. They’ve often been a good allie, but this time they want to sit it out and have it both ways. We can use their bases, but only for limited operations. At least the UK spends real money on defense.

France, Spain, and Italy are another story. So too is Canada. None of these four contribute seriously to NATO. They’re laggards, trying to get away with it. Spain and France force our pilots to fly thousands of miles out of the way (I thought they didn’t like carbon footprints) en route to Iran.

Eastern Europe is a different story. They spend more on defense and they understand power. They lived under Soviet domination and recognize weakness when they see it. They won’t be weak.

Western European governments, especially France, are good at issuing communiques and statements. They enjoy hosting conferences. They love to ponder deeply. Getting them to act is another matter, unless it’s to purchase Russian LNG, which they still do.

The world is changing. Out of this war will come a new group of younger nations that understand real power and the importance of strength. The UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Eastern Europe will emerge stronger than ever. Western Europe will continue to fall behind.

As for Trump, you don’t have to like him. He often says things none of his predecessors would say. But don’t underestimate the fact that US taxpayers are fed up with nations that don’t pull their weight, and then force our pilots to take risks and longer flights so we can rid the world from the menace that is Iran.

Today’s Western European leaders would rather mollify Iran and pay them ransoms (trade) than support the US.

Things are different today. We all know it.

The UK, France, Spain and Italy (despite its Prime Minister) have earned the consequences that will unfold.

They could have and should have supported us. Not as a NATO alliance. But as individual free nations.

All we wanted was overflight rights and full access to airfields.

They’ve made their choices. Soon, they’ll see the results.

.@GovPritzker, I saw your post honoring lives lost in Minnesota—standing publicly, naming Alex Pretti and Renee Good, and laying flowers in their memory.

But where was that same compassion on January 19, 2025?

That is the day my 20-year-old daughter, Katie Abraham, was killed here in Illinois. She was innocent. She did not knowingly put herself in the middle of an ongoing law enforcement situation. She was not making a dangerous choice.

She was simply living her life—and it was taken from her.

You have never said her name. You have never come to where she died. You have never acknowledged her publicly.

And beyond that—you have never even responded to me.

I sent you a simple, non-political letter. Not for attention. Not for headlines. Just a father asking for clarity, for answers, and for understanding of the state’s position.

You never replied.

And now, in the wake of another tragedy here in Chicago, your public display of compassion elsewhere—while remaining silent about victims in your own state—feels deeply disconnected from the reality families like mine are living every day.

Instead, you continue to defend sanctuary policies that create the conditions where preventable tragedies like hers can happen.

This is not about politics. It’s about leadership and accountability.

When you choose to publicly mourn some victims while remaining silent about others—especially those lost under policies you support—it sends a message.

Whether intentional or not, it tells families like mine that our loss does not matter the same way.

So I am asking you directly:

Where is your compassion for my daughter? Where is your acknowledgment of victims here in Illinois? And when will you take responsibility for the consequences of the policies you defend?

Say her name: Katie Abraham.

Stand where she died. Show the people of Illinois that every life matters.
