A representative from @UIPE_Uganda that’s to say Eng Henry Mpuuga pitched to our technicians about UIPE and what it is all about. They learned that Science is the acquisition of knowledge through research whereas Engineering is the use of science to solve problems.

In Arch. Regina Nnaggenda’s session, they learned that architecture is both a science & an art & that it involves designing of spaces She pointed out how today it is influenced highly by external cultures, especially the western & this has led to chaotic designs

Rebecca Abitimo @Becca_abitimo a registered Valuation Surveyor from Institution of Surveyors of Uganda addressed the roles of valuation surveyors which include inspecting properties as well as measuring and assessing physical features and conditions.
@miko_noellah covered interior design urging us to build a career path and have clear direction. She also told us the ways of fulfilling this in the world of interior designing like joining a design firm, working for a furniture or interior product company and freelancing.
During Gideon Sekiwano's session on interior designing he hinted about what it takes to bridge the gap between field and studio practice i.e. skillsets, network and passion for the craft.
