@barefootalex So yes, while in my story, I made a call and I made a little drama, the whole time I knew, and nobody could or can convince me any different!
@barefootalex In my opinion the difference between a jogger and a runner lies within that person. A runner knows they are a runner. A person can go out for a run, or jog, or whatever. But if you are a real runner, then you know. And as long as you yourself know, then thatโs all that matters.
@barefootalex I even called up the Enquirer edits and clarifications department, I tried to have them run a correction stating that the guy in the picture was in fact running, not jogging.
No dice
@barefootalex The boss called me over, and I thought I did something wrong.
โKevin, we have standards here. And expectations. And frankly, your just not meeting...โ
My heart drops
โThis is a running store, and you are a jogger...โ
@barefootalex I was so mad.
One thing that made it worse, at the time I was doing some part-time hours at Bob Ronckers Running Spot. That first weekend, I answered the phone like I always do, โBob Ronckerโs Running Spot this is Kevin...โ
@barefootalex โHey Jogger!!!!โ, the person voiced loudly through the phone. Why is he calling me a jogger?
And then he referenced the jogger thing again. What the heck??
โYou see the front page of the newspaper yet, Jogger?โ
@barefootalex UNTIL the next day, I wake up at St.Ritaโs where I worked (RA in the dorm), and looked online at the news sites to see if school was indeed cancelled that day. Just as soon as I opened my computer, I get a call from a buddy...
@barefootalex So as quickly as this guy appears and snaps his pics, he is gone just as fast, heading the opposite way as me. Naturally, I think nothing of it, and go on about my run, and day.
UNTIL.....
