A #medtwitter account to support my passion for helping #medstudents and #IMG applicants Match into Medical Residency! In my alt life, I'm @DavidLombardino
Hello #MedTwitter and all #MedStudents and #IMG candidates applying for #Match2025. We've just posted a recorded version of @DavidLombardino's highly popular Residency Interview Best Practices Workshop. Watch and share it widely @ https://t.co/hyHojN8GiJ
Hello #MedTwitter! Happy IV season! I've been getting a lot of questions on the topic of getting pregnant in residency and wanted to share this article. What are your thoughts? Questions?

@kyakarunmarjaun It's true--unfortunately, I see many IMGs learning this the hard way--after they haven't matched. That's why, to complement my paid IV coaching service, I created a free IV prep webinar. Perhaps you/others you know might gain something useful from it? https://t.co/hyHojN88tb
@VipsMDMEd Great answer! I'm always looking for books that challenge my thinking. One of the latest ones that did that was Rebirth of a Nation by @joelegoza--I highly recommend it! What top 2 or 3 books have challenged your thinking that you would recommend?
@MasakoLeMD Is this Panda Express' social experiment--plant random seeds of positivity and encouragement to see if it will make the world a better place?😂
Doctors, don’t ever let a hospital claim they are losing money on your salary.
If you’re employed and they are just comparing professional fee collections to your paycheck, they’re trying to trick you.
You generate far more revenue than your professional fees. There’s the DRGs for all the hospitalizations. There’s the facility fees for outpatient services. There’s the downstream revenue of every lab test, imaging and PT order. There’s the revenue they generate by having you cover call, allowing them to be a trauma center or stroke center or cardiac center.
Doctors have the leverage. They need us. And once we reverse the ban on physician owned hospitals, we won’t need them.

Always look at the camera--it's far more important for them to see you making eye contact than for you to know what they look like! Caveats: Do look away from time to time to (1) think about something; and (2) show you're not a psychopath!🤣
@realdocspeaks@MemberBITC I'm curious to know how you would do that? Specifically, to what extent can the number of residency positions increase independently of increasing Medicare funding, and if it is from a private funding source, what is the ROI for the private investor?
@claudiarm2025 Also, it is important to remember that generally, surgery is a high-stress/high-burnout/low-empathy field that could benefit significantly from regular injections of emotional intelligence & self-awareness/monitoring. And you need thick skin to be able to make an impact.
Happy Saturday #MedTwitter! I'm curious to know: For those leaving or branching out from X, are you choosing Threads or Bluesky and why? For example, if you're leaving X b/c of Elon Musk, what are your thoughts on joining Mark Zuckerberg's Threads?
@taqsyed Not all teachers know how to teach. Often, they (unconsciously) treat others as they have been treated. It's not you--it's them (although they won't admit it, and you definitely shouldn't call them out on it--got to protect those egos!!!). It's a difficult situation, for sure.
@awsumpowers Any #Match2025 applicants looking for coaching well beyond what ChatGPT is capable of, including program- and applicant-specific and challenging nuanced behavioral and ethical questions to excel in your IVs at even the most competitive programs?
